“Hosea married a prostitute?”*
Why do some people only read what appears to be half of Romans 8:1? Should I be good friends with unbelievers if they’re pulling me away from other Christians? Does Hebrew 6 mean the blood of Jesus could run out on me? I don’t understand the Old Testament story of Hosea and Gomer. Why would […]

“50% of us believe they can lose salvation”
Are there varying degrees of rewards in Heaven? About half of our congregation believes they can lose their salvation. I found this out when our pastor taught on Hebrew 6. What are your thoughts?
Does God not hear our prayers when we sin?
What is adultery in God’s view? What about polygamy in the Old Testament? When we die, are we immediately with Jesus? Does Hebrews 10 mean anyone who sins “willfully” goes to hell? If we regard iniquity in our hearts, does God not hear us? It feels like my prayers are never answered. It causes me […]
“What if Jesus returns when I’m sinning?”
What if Jesus returns and I have unrepentant sin in my life? I’ve been backsliding for years. Does Hebrews 6 mean there’s no place of repentance for me?
“They won’t believe me!”
Is Hebrews 6 addressing believers, or unbelievers, or both? A family member says I hurt them, and they will no longer talk to me. But what they currently believe I did isn’t actually true. What should I do? How does our righteousness factor into daily struggles with those who hurt us?
Is “speaking mysteries” to God a good thing? No!
Are we guaranteed physical healing because of the cross? How can we share the gospel as an “elevator pitch”? 1 Corinthians 14 contains two challenging verses (v.2 and v.4). How do you explain those if there is no private prayer language? Should I expect to hear the gospel regularly in church? Why do you think […]

Passages in the Old Testament seem harsh at times. How can I have more faith? Does Hebrews 6 mean I can fall away and lose my salvation? In Matthew 24, who endures and what does that mean? I’ve been divorced and remarried. Am I living in adultery? My boyfriend tried to persuade me to have […]

Do you believe the end of Hebrews 5 and the beginning of Hebrews 6 is directed at baby Christians? What’s the difference between the laws written on our hearts and the Law on the Gentile conscience in Romans 2? Do our spirit and soul get “saved” separately? I use the unconditional love of pets as […]

Do we face judgment immediately after dying? What happens at the final judgment? I thought I was already saved, but then I had an experience that made me believe I got saved again. And then all those feelings were lost. Now I’m just confused. Have I committed the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit? Can you […]

If my father was saved at an early age yet walked away from his church, is he still saved? Is “once saved, always saved” actually true? What about the warnings in Hebrews 6 and 10? What about being blotted out of the Book of Life? What can I say to a teenage girl who wants […]

Is Hebrews 6 and 2 Peter 2:20 talking about a believer losing their salvation? Are believers under the Law? And what is the purpose of the Law? How do I forgive someone who hurt me? What does “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him” mean?
Gospel Taste-Tester
Hebrews 6 is an important warning to each of us, because it signals just how crucial it is for each person to hear, believe, and respond to the Gospel message.
