“Are sins covered or taken away? Work out our salvation?”
If our sins are taken away, why does Romans 4:7 say “covered”? What does “work out your salvation with fear and trembling” really mean? Does Galatians 2:20 say we live by faith “in” Christ or by the faith “of” Christ?

Work out your salvation with fear and trembling?
Do we need to confess each sin to be forgiven? What about James 5:16 and confessing to one another? How do we “work out our salvation” and why does Paul say “with fear and trembling”? Does God pre-select some people for salvation leaving others with no chance to believe?
