“You’re seated right next to God!”

What is the “third heaven”? What does it mean that we’re already seated in heavenly places? My pastor said our character is the foundation for our lives. What are your thoughts? Please explain the Parable of the Talents. If it’s about Christians, then how could the last person end up in “outer darkness”?
