Statement of Faith — The Grace Message

The Scriptures

We believe the Bible—every word of the Old and New Testaments—is God-breathed, trustworthy, and fully inspired in its original manuscripts. Scripture reveals God’s heart, exposes humanity’s need, and announces the breathtaking good news of Jesus Christ and the new covenant He inaugurated through His blood.

The Bible is not a burden—it’s God’s grand invitation into truth, freedom, and life.

The Triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

We believe in one God in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—co-eternal, co-equal, and co-glorious. God has always existed in perfect love, perfect unity, and perfect joy, and He invites us into that relationship through our union with Christ.

The Trinity is not a puzzle to solve—but a Family we’ve been welcomed into.

Jesus Christ—God With Us, For Us, In Us

We believe Jesus is the eternal Son of God who stepped into human history through a virgin birth, fully God and fully human. He lived the only perfect life this world has ever seen, then willingly offered Himself as the once-for-all sacrifice for the sins of the world.

His death didn’t make us “forgivable”—it actually forgave us, once and for all.

His resurrection didn’t just inspire hope—it infused us with new life, His life.

The Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus

We believe Jesus literally, physically rose from the dead and ascended to heaven, where He is now seated at the right hand of God as our perfect High Priest.

He represents us flawlessly. He intercedes for us perfectly. And He will return triumphantly.

The Holy Spirit—God’s Life In Us

We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine Person who convicts the world of its need for Jesus and leads believers into truth. At salvation, He regenerates us, indwells us, unites us with Christ, seals us, and empowers us to live from our new identity.

He is not a temporary visitor—He is our permanent indwelling Helper and Comforter.

Humanity—In Adam or In Christ

We believe God created humankind in His image, but through Adam’s sin the human race fell into spiritual death. Every person is born in Adam, separated from God and unable to fix their condition through effort, morality, or religion.

But God’s rescue is not self-improvement—it is new life.

Salvation—By Grace, Through Faith, Once For All

We believe salvation is the free gift of God—never earned, never achieved, never maintained through human effort. We are saved entirely by His grace through faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work.

At the moment of faith:

  • Our sins are forgiven once for all

  • We receive eternal life

  • We are placed into Christ

  • Christ comes to live in us

  • We become a new creation

  • Our identity changes forever

The Gospel is not about trying harder—it’s about trusting Jesus.

Our New Identity—Holy, Righteous, Clean and Close

We believe every believer has been made new at the core. We are not waiting to become new—we already are new. God has given us new hearts, new desires, and a new spirit united with His Spirit.

We are:

  • Saints, not sinners

  • Righteous, not dirty

  • Close, not distant

  • Loved, not tolerated

  • Complete, not lacking

We don’t live for acceptance—we live from acceptance.

Union with Christ—The Heart of the Gospel

We believe the believer is united with Jesus in His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension.

We died with Him. We rose with Him. We live in Him—and He lives in us.

This union is the engine of the Christian life.

Once-for-All Forgiveness—No More Sacrifices

We believe Jesus’ sacrifice removed all of our sins—past, present, and future—once for all.

God is not keeping score. He remembers our sins no more.

There is no more forgiveness to “get” in Christ—only total forgiveness to celebrate.

Eternal Security—Forever His

We believe that everyone who has put their trust in Jesus is permanently secure in Him.

God does not give birth to spiritual orphans.

We are sealed, safe, and secure—protected by once-for-all forgiveness, the promises of God to never leave us, and the everlasting life of Christ within us.

The Spiritual Realm—A Real Enemy, A Greater Savior

We believe Satan and his demons are real but defeated foes. They deceive, accuse, and seek to discourage—but believers have victory in Christ and through Christ.

We do not fight for that victory—we live from victory.

Sanctification—Two Meanings, Not One

We believe the word sanctify means “to set apart for a purpose.” And every believer has already been fully, completely, and permanently set apart for God. No believer is partially sanctified or halfway set apart.

Scripture makes this unmistakably clear in Hebrews 10:10, 1 Corinthians 6:11, and 1 Corinthians 1:2. God setting us apart is not a process. It is God’s finished work in us. We are already sanctified (set apart), already holy, already fully His.

But Scripture also speaks of a second kind of sanctification—the setting apart of our attitudes and actions. Peter writes: “Be holy [sanctified] in all your behavior.” (1 Peter 1:15)

This behavioral sanctification is not about becoming someone new—it is about aligning our everyday choices with the newness we already possess. Because we are sanctified at the core, we now get to express that holiness in how we think, act, and relate to others.

Keeping these two kinds of sanctification (setting apart) distinct matters. Otherwise, we might believe ourselves to be “cleaning ourselves up for God” over time.

The New Covenant—Our True Home

We believe we are not under the Law but under grace. The old covenant was a ministry of death; the new covenant is a ministry of life.

The law kills. The Spirit gives life. Jesus fulfilled the old, established the new, and invites us to rest in what He accomplished.

In Summary

We believe the Gospel is better news than most people have ever heard.

We believe grace is not a topic—it’s the entire message.

We believe Jesus did it all—perfectly, completely, and forever.

And we believe the Christian life is not about striving for God—but trusting that Christ lives in us and we now live a new life in Him.
