You didn’t just get a second chance.
You got a new nature.
God didn’t clean up your old heart—He replaced it.
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you” (Ezekiel 36:26).
“You became obedient from the heart” (Romans 6:17).
That’s not behavior modification.
That’s a DNA swap.
At the core of your being, something radical happened.
You were born of God.
Born of the Spirit (John 3:6).
And what comes from God… looks like God.
So let’s get this straight:
You’re not someone who wants sin but should resist it.
You’re someone who wants righteousness—because that’s who you are.
“You have become slaves of righteousness” (Romans 6:18).
That’s your default setting now.
And it explains something you’ve probably noticed:
Sin doesn’t satisfy you.
It agitates you.
It leaves you asking, “Why did I do that?”
That tension isn’t failure.
It’s evidence.
Evidence that your heart has been replaced.
Because a divided house can’t stand (Matthew 12:25).
And you’re not divided at the core.
You’re new.
So stop treating yourself like a sinner trying to behave.
Start seeing yourself as a saint learning to live.
You’re not fighting your nature.
You’re discovering it.
