Strong political views are all over the news and social media. Even within the church, we’ll sometimes hear how “true” Christians ought to feel about a certain issue or group.

There’s nothing wrong with being active politically! We’re privileged to cast a vote and express our voice. But there’s a danger in conflating Christianity with a political position.

While we don’t do politics on our program, I took the opportunity to explain to Sharon why staying centered on an identity deeper than our political preference is critical to sharing Jesus with others and expressing the truth of the Gospel in love!
