“Why am I not excited about God?”

How can I more eagerly await the return of Christ? I’ve been away from church for a while for health reasons, and now I feel like I’m coming back to God. What are your thoughts? What do you think of Oswald Chambers and his most well-known book? Should we be water baptized? If so, in what name?
