Mind of Christ? Soft on Sin?

My wife and I are getting involved in jail ministry! What does it mean to have the “mind of Christ”? How do you keep from assuming people already know what you mean about grace? My granddaughter recently passed. What Scriptures might I read at her funeral? Is it okay to take a break from reading the Bible sometimes? What are your thoughts on the many Bible versions? Is grace soft on sin?
