Confess Each Sin to Be Forgiven?

Are we no longer “sinful” as believers? If so, then why do we still sin? Geneva, Scofield, and Darby: Let’s talk Bible translations! I have a woman friend who is married to another woman. What are your thoughts? I wish my friends at church would understand 1 John 1:9 and total forgiveness better. I’ve explained it the best I can, so what else can I do?
