Try to understand Satan? Or simply focus on Jesus?

Should we focus on the enemy? If not, what’s the best way to approach spiritual warfare? I’m trying to understand Philippians 2 about God working within us. Does it really mean we try to become blameless and pure? (If so, I’m toast!) As believers, can we have our bodies cremated instead of buried? Or do we have to pay for a burial site and a casket?
