“Draw near to God? We’re one with Christ!”

Is your heart deceitfully wicked? Or did God give you a new heart at salvation? Why do so many churches still teach a required 10% tithe? Should we still obey government laws if we’re under God’s grace? If so, why? Why does James say to draw near to God if we are already one with Christ?
