“If God is love, why the final judgment?”

If God is love, and if love keeps no record of wrongs, then isn’t the whole world forgiven and saved? Wouldn’t that mean no final judgment? Is “once saved, always saved” really the truth? And what about Christians who end up sinning so badly?
