“My oxen are always in the ditch!”

July 24, 2026

My work schedule requires that I’m on duty seven days a week sometimes. I’ve been told that God wants me to take a day off or I may be missing his blessing. Is that true? They also tell me “my oxen are always in the ditch”! Do we need to die to self? What about dying daily? And didn’t Jesus say to “deny yourself”? How do we get busy living if we’re always busy dying?

“I may not have much time left…”

July 23, 2026

What is the status of spiritual gifts in the church today? Have they gone away? Are there still consequences for sin, even though we’re forgiven? I have an immune disorder, and I’m just not sure how to pray or how to be a good steward of the time I have left?

“Cut to Pieces” (Matthew 24)?

July 22, 2026

Does Matthew 24 mean believers may be cut into pieces by God? I’ve been a believer in overseas missions for 27 years, and God used The Grace Message to dramatically transform my view of Him. Thank you! I have heard some atheists say that Christianity promotes slavery and white supremacy. Is there any truth to it?

Church Planting, Confession, and Baptism

July 21, 2026

What message would you give to church-planting pastors everywhere? Could you clarify your teaching on water baptism and its proper place? Is there still a role for confession (agreeing with God) in the daily life of a Christian? If so, what role does it play?

Torn Veil? Water Baptism? Psychedelics?

July 20, 2026

Why did God raise believers from the dead when the veil was torn and Jesus died (Matthew 27)? What role does water baptism play? Does it cause us to be saved or to receive the Spirit? What are your thoughts on using psychedelics to foster an awareness of God’s presence?

Salvation. Good Works. Prayer. Brokenness.

July 19, 2026

How should we interpret the “if you continue” verse in Colossians 1? My coworker is blessing everything in our warehouse! How was Jesus born without sin? How should we view Israel today in light of Jesus? Is God trying to break us? What does it mean to pray for something but to be “willing” for it not to happen? What are the good works God prepared in advance for us?

Tribulation. Rapture. Judgment.

July 17, 2026

How does the tribulation relate to the return of Christ? And what happens regarding the rapture and the final judgment? My husband and I were reconciled after being separated for nine years, and you married us. Thank you! How should we interpret Genesis 6:4 regarding “sons of God,” “daughters of men,” “giants” and “men of renown”?

Forsaken? Fall Away? Pray to Saints?

July 15, 2026

Why did Jesus ask God about being forsaken? Did the Father forsake the Son? My denomination taught me that you can “fall away,” and they used 2 Peter 2 as their proof. Can you explain that passage? Are some Catholics saved? What does God think about their praying to saints? What is a saint?

When God Goes Silent on You…

July 14, 2026

Might God blot you out of the Book of Life? Are we saved or are we “being saved” (progressively)? Where do growth and learning fit into the picture? Sometimes, the pain from my motorcycle accident is so intense that I take too many painkillers. I don’t want to be addicted, so what can I do? What should we do when God goes silent on us?

Are Christian teachers judged by God in a unique way? Is original sin biblical? What about being righteous by (re)birth? What’s the “unworthy manner” of celebrating the Lord’s Supper in 1 Corinthians 11? And what about the “judgment” in that same communion passage? Is it from God?

Who are those who “have ears to hear” according to Jesus? Am I a “lone ranger Christian,” and should I be concerned? If I don’t speak in tongues, do I not have the Holy Spirit? What’s the meaning of the Revelation 2 warning to the church of Ephesus about forgetting their first love? Are we as believers regarded as “sinners” or “saints” or both? Is the doctrine of original sin (sin and death through Adam) biblical or not? What does the word “word” (logos and its forms) mean in Acts (and James): the law, the gospel, or either depending on the context?
